Cookies and Cream Ice cream! (no ice cream machine needed)

Yummy ice cream for a sunny day, no ice cream machine required!

3 egg yolks
1 14-ounce can condensed milk
4 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 cup chocolate sandwich cookies, coarsely crushed
2 cup heavy cream, whipped


In a large bowl, beat the egg yolks and stir in the condensed milk and vanilla. Fold in the crushed cookies and whipped cream. Pour mixture into a 9x5-inch loaf pan lined with foil. Cover and freeze for 6 hours or until firm.
To serve, scoop ice cream from pan or cut into slices.


Yield: 8 servings

fantastic. I want to make ice cream so much but I am hesitating to get an ice cream maker as all these electric appliances take up so much space at home. I will try your recipe. Can I make other flavors using this method?

This looks so good! I've been dying to make some homemade ice cream now that it's gotten hot, but I don't have an ice cream maker. I'll have to give this recipe a try soon.
